Every successful woman you see leading a room once walked into one unsure of herself.

Christine Hull knows that story well — not because she lived it personally, but because she has witnessed it unfold again and again through the women she serves.

As the Founder of Mississauga and Area Women in Business (MAWB Network) and President of 100 Women Who Care Mississauga, Christine has built more than professional communities. She has built environments where belief grows, confidence strengthens, and women begin to see themselves differently.

For International Women’s Month, we are proud to spotlight Christine — not only for the impact she’s created in Mississauga’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, but for the quiet, powerful transformation she has helped spark in countless women-led businesses.

From Networking to Belonging

Entrepreneurship can look glamorous on social media. In reality, it is often isolating.

Christine understands this deeply. As she shared in her reflection for this feature, community for women in business isn’t optional — it’s foundational.

“Entrepreneurship can feel isolating, especially for women balancing business, family, and leadership roles. When women are surrounded by other ambitious, generous, growth-minded women, something shifts. Confidence builds faster. Courage feels safer. Collaboration replaces competition.”

This is the philosophy behind Mississauga and Area Women in Business (MAWB Network) — a dynamic community designed to elevate, connect, and empower women entrepreneurs.

MAWB is not simply a directory or occasional meetup group. It is a curated space where relationships are intentionally built, members are spotlighted, and collaboration is encouraged over competition. Through regular networking events, curated showcases, educational workshops, and mentorship opportunities, Christine has created something many women don’t realize they are missing — a room where they feel seen.

And that changes everything.

The Moment That Changes Everything

Christine recalls one particular member who joined MAWB quietly. At her first event, she barely introduced herself. You could see it — she wasn’t sure she belonged.

But she kept coming.

She showed up again. And again.

Over time, something shifted. She began speaking up. She hosted her first workshop within the network. Clients came through relationships formed inside the community. Today, she mentors other women who feel the way she once did.

“The biggest shift wasn’t just revenue,” Christine shared. “It was belief.”

This is what makes MAWB powerful. The outcomes are tangible — new clients, partnerships, collaborations — but the deeper transformation is internal. When a woman believes she belongs in the room, her standards rise. Her voice steadies. Her vision expands.

Christine doesn’t just create networking events. She creates inflection points.

Leadership Rooted in Purpose

Christine’s leadership extends beyond MAWB. As President of 100 Women Who Care Mississauga, she also leads collective giving initiatives that mobilize women to support local charities through the power of collective donations.

At its core, her work reflects a consistent theme: women are stronger together.

Whether through business growth or community impact, Christine’s leadership style is relational, intentional, and empowering. She believes success is rarely about talent alone — it’s about proximity.

“When you’re in rooms with women who are building, stretching, and growing, your standards rise. You take smarter risks. You recover faster from setbacks. You feel supported instead of isolated.”

In other words: environment accelerates belief. And belief fuels action.

The Power of the Right Space

Community is powerful. But environment matters too.

For Christine and MAWB, Touchdown Coworking has become more than just a location. It has become a home base for growth.

“Touchdown creates more than workspace — it creates momentum,” Christine explains.

MAWB hosts its quarterly evening meetups at Touchdown — gatherings where women connect over food and wine in a curated mini marketplace. These events are relaxed but elevated. Members showcase their businesses. Conversations turn into collaborations. Ideas turn into revenue.

The space itself contributes to that transformation.

A polished, professional setting signals seriousness. It tells women: your business matters. Your ideas deserve this room.

Christine also regularly uses Touchdown for her small group social media training sessions, hands-on workshops, one-on-one strategy meetings, and client collaborations. The environment changes the tone of the work.

Women show up more confidently. They think bigger. They treat their business like the business it is.

It’s not simply about desks and meeting rooms. It’s about identity. When you work in the right space, you begin to see yourself differently.

And that internal shift carries outward.

Why International Women’s Month Matters

International Women’s Month is not just a calendar moment. It is a reminder.

A reminder that progress happens when women build rooms for other women.

Christine’s advice to women starting in business today is simple but powerful:

“Don’t wait until you feel ready. Join the room before you feel qualified. Raise your hand before your voice feels steady. Launch before everything feels perfect.”

Growth happens in motion.

And it happens faster when you are surrounded by women who genuinely want to see you win.

Christine embodies that philosophy — not only in what she teaches, but in what she builds.

More Than a Spotlight

What makes Christine’s work remarkable is not just the longetivity of MAWB or the events hosted. It is the ripple effect.

One woman gains confidence. She lands new clients. She mentors someone else. That woman launches. Another finds her footing.

Communities compound.

At Touchdown Coworking, we see firsthand how the right combination of people and place can accelerate momentum. Christine’s journey reflects exactly what we aim to support: ambitious professionals who are building something meaningful and need an environment that matches their vision.

Her story is not just about business growth. It is about women rising together.

And that is worth celebrating.
